Rezheartwork
rezheartwork : (n. community action) an idea born out of a COVID-19 crisis — created for our Young Artists on Navajo Land to create and empower their community.
What began as a simple plan of action to bring art kits to Navajo youth in the Window Rock, Arizona area, has become a Community Art Project of Action. Thank you for bringing art and creating spaces for our Navajo Youth to create and empower their community.

I am so proud of Jade. She accomplished a lot this summer, including learning a new apparatus, the lyra. She gave her debut aerial performance on Friday, July 29, 2022. It was a packed house with her closest friends and family to celebrate her accomplishments. At the end of Jade’s performance, I walked on “stage” to congratulate her and I will never forget that moment. I looked at Jade, then the crowd—everyone’s eyes were filled with tears, including mine. I am so proud of you Jade, may you fly forever.

It’s been a quiet year for our program. In one year we have come a long way since we hosted our first outdoor aerial silk workshop with youth artist, Jade B.
This past Friday, October 29, 2021— Meek and Jade were able to rig the silk in the trees in St. Michael’s, Arizona. It was a warm afternoon and the perfect time to silk.
